When I applied to college, I did it myself. Why can’t my son or daughter do the same?
Applying to colleges has gotten far more complex than it was just ten years ago. It’s not uncommon to spend 5-6 hours perfecting one school application, and most students should apply to at least 8 schools.
Also, according to the National Center for Education Statistics1, more students are applying to college than ever before, and the trend is increasing every year. Simply put, there are thousands of qualified applicants.

Can you guarantee my son or daughter will get accepted at a great school?
No one can. We can prepare early to get the odds in your student’s favor; we can select schools that offer a highest quality education; we can apply to safety, fall back and reach schools; we can research schools and submit the strongest applications possible, but no one can guarantee acceptance.
My son or daughter is not a 4.0, Ivy League student. Do I still need a college planner?
That depends. Students don’t need a perfect GPA or high test scores to get into a good school, but they probably won’t get into a great school without them. The process of preparing for college is one that also prepares students for the rigors of academia; however, there are students who only apply to schools that have high admittance rates.

Can’t I just do my student’s college planning?
Yes. It’s a lot of work, but it can be done. The question is, do you want to?
Or would you rather have a professional college planner do all of that work, so you and your student can relax? When you work with a college planner, you get to enjoy all the fun events and milestones during this time in your student’s life (e.g. visiting colleges, opening acceptance letters, etc…) while Elite College Planning & Prep works closely with your student to keep him or her on track.
- Do you want to ensure your student is prepping for the ACT & SAT twice a week?
- Do you want to give your student career planning tests and set up job shadowing opportunities to ensure they pick the right major?
- Do you want to research every school for culture, costs, geographic location, demographics, etc… to see if your son or daughter will thrive there?
- Do you want to remind your student to ask for and collect letters of recommendation, to write a brag sheet and a resume?
- Do you want to track and meet all the various deadlines for each school your student applies to?
- Do you want to revise several essays and short answer questions multiple times?
- Do you want to go over every screen for all of the different applications?

Can you help me figure out how to pay for college?
While many College Planners promise strategies to reduce your out of pocket costs for College, the simple truth is that your household contribution will be based on your W-2 earnings. The best way that ANY college planner can help you figure out how to pay for college is to position your student so that he or she is the strongest possible candidate; Elite CP&P does this by selecting schools that offer aid, ensuring that your student is working at his or her maximum and searching for scholarships that offset the costs of college.
